Who you are agreeing with

Kept is run by Kept Creators, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. You can reach a person at hello@keptcreators.com. Using Kept means these terms apply to you. If you do not agree with them, do not use it.

What Kept is

Kept is a record-keeping tool for creators doing sponsored content. It holds the brands you are researching, the pitches you sent, the deals you agreed, what you are owed, and when a brand's licence to use your content ends. It gives you a tracked link so you can see what a brand did with your portfolio after you sent it.

Kept is not an agency, a marketplace, or an employer. It does not represent you, negotiate for you, or take a share of anything you earn.

What Kept will never do

These are limits built into the product, not preferences. Each one rules out something that would otherwise be straightforward to build.

• Kept never sends anything on its own. Nothing leaves without you pressing send, nothing is ever scheduled, and there is no Kept address it could come from. Connect Gmail and a pitch goes from your own account, so the From header is yours and a brand replies to you. Do not connect it and you copy the pitch and send it yourself, exactly as before.
• Kept cannot see a brand's ad spend, sales, or campaign results. That information belongs to the brand and is not visible to Kept or to you through Kept. Anything Kept reports about a brand comes from their own public website.
• Kept never promises to get you paid. It records what you are owed and how overdue it is. Chasing an invoice, and every conversation that goes with it, remains yours.
• Kept does not sell your data. Your deals, pitches, rates and contacts are not shared with brands, other creators, or anyone else. What each company Kept relies on receives is listed on the privacy page.

Your account

You need to be 18 or over. Keep your password to yourself: anyone who signs in as you can see everything in your account, and Kept cannot tell the difference between you and someone using your password.

During the closed beta, sign-up is limited to invited addresses. An invitation is for you, not transferable, and it can be withdrawn if an account is used to break these terms.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Kept belongs to you. Your videos, your notes, your rates, your client list. Kept stores and displays it so the product works, and for nothing else. It is not used to train anything, it is not sold, and it is not shown to other creators.

You can export or delete it at any time. Deleting your account removes your data from the live database; see the privacy page for how long backups persist afterwards.

What you agree not to do

• Use Kept to send anything unlawful, harassing, or deliberately misleading.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Try to reach another creator's data, or to get around the limits that keep accounts separate.
• Scrape Kept, or resell access to it.
• Use Kept to send bulk unsolicited mail. Kept is for pitching, not spamming.

Tracked pitch links

When you create a pitch link, Kept hosts a page showing the work you chose and records what happens on it: when it was opened, how long each video was watched, what was clicked. That page is public to anyone holding the link, so treat the link the way you would treat the work on it.

Kept counts conservatively and undercounts rather than guesses. None of it tells you whether a brand liked what they saw, and none of it should be read as a promise that they will reply.

Beta, and what that means

Kept is in a closed beta and free while it is in build. Things will change, some will break, and features may be removed if they turn out not to work. You will not be charged during the beta, and nothing here signs you up to a future payment. If Kept starts charging, that will be a separate decision you make, not a renewal you have to notice.

Beta creators who were told they have lifetime access have it. That is a commitment, not a marketing line.

What Kept does not guarantee

Kept is provided as it is. It does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, that a search will find any particular brand, or that the information it reads from a brand's website is complete or current. It reads public pages as they are served and reports what it found, which is not the same as everything that is true.

Kept is a record of your business, not advice about it. It does not give legal, tax, or financial advice. Decisions about your rates, your contracts and your usage terms are yours, and worth taking to someone qualified when the money justifies it.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, because UK law does not allow that and nor would Kept want to.

Ending it

You can stop using Kept and delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. No notice, no email exchange, no retention offer.

Kept can suspend an account that breaks these terms. If that happens you will be told why and given a chance to put it right, unless doing so would put another creator's data at risk.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be emailed before it takes effect, not told afterwards by a banner. The date at the top of this page says when it was last updated.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protections your local law gives you.
